Denver Public Library (DPL) was founded in 1889 to provide Denver with access to learning and information through an enduring philosophy of public service. The collection originally included 35,000 books and has grown to more than 2.1 million. Today, DPL creates welcoming spaces where all are free to explore and connect via the Central Library, 25 branch libraries, and three mobile service vehicles.
